About the brand
Joeyband was invented to solve a problem most parents never hear about until it happens to them. When inventor Hayley Mullins's newborn slipped from her chest during skin-to-skin contact (a common startle reflex) the emergency doctor's response was chilling: this happens all the time. Despite decades of evidence that skin-to-skin contact improves breastfeeding, reduces complications and strengthens outcomes, no medical-grade product existed to support it safely, particularly in C-sections, NICU care and patient transfers. Mullins created the Mississauga company in 2013 to close that gap with a purpose-built device. Joeyband has since moved from a frightening moment into clinical settings and homes around the world. It is a mother-invented solution now standard-bearer for one of the most important practices in newborn care.
