About the brand
The Daisy Club exists for the moment the system lets go: disabled women, non-binary and trans-femme adults who thrived in pediatric programs, then aged out into nothing. Founder Darlene Espinosa spent over 16 years in pediatric rehab watching that cliff approach: young people building real relationships with movement, then losing the infrastructure entirely at 18. In 2021 she built what was missing: a Toronto-based adaptive fitness community running live virtual seated-dance classes across Canada, plus in-person Club Hangs, brunches and dance parties where the community formed on screen becomes a room full of people. It is fitness as belonging, designed for the bodies and identities mainstream gyms ignore. The Daisy Club turned a systemic abandonment into a community with a waitlist. It's what care looks like when someone decides the gap is unacceptable.
