About the brand
The toothpaste most people use hasn't kept up with the science — Bastét was built to fix that. Founded in Montreal by Alexandra Baker and Matthieu Savoie, the oral-care brand spent nearly four years formulating a fluoride-free, SLS-free mineral toothpaste with 10 percent nano-hydroxyapatite (the same mineral teeth are made of) at the clinically-recommended concentration where most brands settle for two percent. Add seaweed-derived prebiotics for the oral microbiome and a plastic-free, infinitely recyclable aluminum tube, and you get a product engineered like skincare. It's a brand built on the premise that 'clinically recommended' should mean what it says. Launched in June 2026, Bastét is the unusual newcomer rooted in the formulation depth behind it that treats oral care as a science problem the incumbents stopped working on decades ago.
