Nurse Purse is the organizational app built for nurses, by a nurse. Founder Jordan Hartzell lived the problem as a travel nurse moving between BC hospitals — schedule in one place, credentials in another, earnings tracked nowhere — and in 2025 turned that chaos into a single platform. The Victoria-based app consolidates shift calendars, credential and renewal tracking, contract management and earnings projections so nurses can actually leave work at work. It serves everyone from new grads to travel nurses cobbling together careers with no home base. Behind it sits a simple recognition: the people holding the healthcare system together are running their working lives on spreadsheets and sticky notes. Nurse Purse is a one-woman operation building the tool an entire profession was missing.
