About the brand
Canada grows enormous quantities of wool: much of it underused, undervalued or discarded because the processing capacity simply isn't here. Liz Pead founded Laine Pierre in Val-des-Sources, Québec in 2024 with an audacious brief: prove Canada can make extraordinary textiles from Canadian raw materials without shipping the process halfway around the world. The company is rebuilding a domestic supply chain from fleece forward, answering a question more Canadians are asking: where can I get something actually made here? It treats 'Made in Canada' as a materials problem, not a marketing claim. Laine Pierre is resurrecting a capability the country outsourced and now needs back. It's part manufacturer, part proof of concept for a more self-sufficient Canadian textile industry.
