7 Summits Snacks began with a question between sisters: 'Can we fuel with chocolate?' When Leanna Carriere moved from Team Canada pole vaulting to endurance sport and found nothing on sports-shop shelves that spoke to her, her sister Kristyn (a chocolate scientist with a decade of R&D at Mondelez and Godiva) had her answer. Founded in Edmonton in 2020, the women-owned company crafts functional chocolate designed as legitimate fuel for athletes and adventurers. It occupies a genuinely novel niche, treating indulgence and performance as the same brief. Built by two sisters to power their own adventures, it now powers thousands of others'. 7 Summits Snacks is what happens when deep technical expertise meets a problem nobody else bothered to solve.
